6th Digital Tools
Digital Tools 6 - In this course students are introduced to various Digital Media tools, workflows and components to communicate ideas using: Photoshop, Google Suite, Photography, Internet Research and Presentation Skills. This course emphasizes learning fundamental tools and collaboration that are foundations for digital media communication.

Turning in Work:
● The majority of assignments will be turned in online using Schoology.
● Students are responsible to turn in completed assignments on time.
● All written work (pre-production) is expected to be submitted by the due date.
● Due to the nature of media presentations, a lot of work is completed independently or in small groups, sometimes a project takes a little longer to complete beyond the due date. Please work to complete assignments in a timely manner.
● There may be assessments over basic terminology and/or use of equipment and programs used.
Attendance:
● In the event of an absence, it is the student responsibility to check to see what was covered and make up the work.
● Students are expected to be in their own seats at the start of class time.
● Students will be marked TARDY if they arrive late.
Evaluation:
● Digital Video is a hands-on class and students will be graded on completion of projects and assessments.
● Grades will be posted in Skyward.
● If you have a missing assignment a zero (0) and check mark will be posted in Skyward to indicate missing assignment.
Course Components:
· An introduction to using Adobe Photoshop. Use of Google Suite - Google Docs, Google Slides, Google Forms, Google Sheets, and Google MyMaps.
· Use of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
· Students will use Adobe Photoshop to create an introduction to themselves for class.
· Students will work with a partner to complete a Travel the World project researching travel information. A map project using Google MyMaps will be completed.
· Students will complete an online Timeline or other digital project incorporating research and use of Google Suite components.
· Students will complete a Colors photography project if time allows.
